Sung Yu Ri is genius chef in new drama ‘The Feast of Gods’ - Sung Yu Ri definitely very busy lately.

After finished her last drama Romance Town last August, she confirmed to rekindle romance with her Hong Gil Dong’s co-star Kang Ji Hwan in upcoming movie gig Detective Cha for 2012 release.

And now she confirmed that she will take leading role for upcoming MBC weekend drama titled The Feast of Gods.

The Feast of Gods centers around the competition of 2 female chefs. Sung Yu Ri plays chef Go Yoon Young. She’ll perform a rivalry with chef Ha In Joo who played by 26-year-old actress Seo Hyun Jin from new movie The Life is Peachy and drama The Duo.

Another cast for The Feast of Gods had been performed a while ago featured established names such as Joo Sang Wook (The Thorn Birds) and Lee Sang Woo (A Thousand Days’ Promise).

While we’re not so amused by the men cast (Joo Sang Wook and Lee Sang Woo are more than fine actors but somehow they lack of big stars aura or the ‘it’ factor), we also think that the ladies cast is quite weak. But with great script and good director, this drama should be entertaining.

The Feast of Gods previously was scheduled to debut January 7, 2012 replacing Hooray For Love (Lee Bo Young & Lee Tae Sung) but with Hooray For Love’s great rating lately, there’s talk about extension and The Feast of Gods will arrive by February 2012.
